Truth unveils global identity for University Academy 92
The Class of ‘92’s pioneering new venture, University Academy 92, hit the headlines recently with a bold vision and brand identity developed by truth creative.
University Academy 92 (UA92), is a new and disruptive addition to the higher education sector, promising to unlock greatness in its students and equip them with the life-based skills needed to fulfill their dreams at the highest possible level.
The idea was first conceived by the Class of ’92 graduates Gary Neville, Ryan Giggs, Paul Scholes, Nicky Butt and Phil Neville, who approached Lancaster University and Trafford Council to help them develop the unique concept.
The three organisations have now been joined in partnership by Microsoft, Bruntwood and Trafford College and after years in the making, UA92 exploded onto the higher education scene at a recent press conference in Greater Manchester.
Darren scott, the founder of Truth Creative, the agency behind the UA92 branding and press launch explains what it took to turn the visionary concept into a living, breathing brand entity:
“We were first approached two years ago, when the project was in its infancy, to help Education 92 connect with potential partners. This led to us developing a compelling brand and brand-story for UA92 to be communicated across a number of different channels.
“Truth offers a multitude of dynamic creative services, which allowed us develop the identity, visual collateral and PR and social media tools required to bring UA92 to life. This includes campus branding, social media, web, video, photography and the press launch event itself.
University Academy 92 is set to move the goalposts for higher education and I believe we have created a flexible, future-proofed brand and brand-story that is suitably dynamic and engaging enough to have distinction at the highest level worldwide.
At Truth we all feel really proud to be part of such a groundbreaking project and it was a pleasure to have worked alongside some of our most trusted partners in the process. The work of video production specialists, Trunk, and renowned photographer Jon Shard has been featured heavily in the blanket press coverage secured for the launch across major national and international media outlets
We were all truly inspired by Gary’s passion to develop a proposition that will help create outstanding opportunities for young people based on the Class of 92’s life experiences; his drive and enthusiasm has attracted a series of world-class partnerships that will make this project a huge success.”
